Bus Transit in Guadalajara, Mexico

Overview

This practicum project focused on providing a set of strategies to guide the Municipality of Guadalajara, as it sought to rejuvenate the underpopulated city center and unite it with rapidly-growing suburbs with a new underground metro line.

Methodology

My role in this project focused on identifying open-souce geospatial data related to transit. I used web scraping with Python to identify bus stops throughout the city and mark informal and formal bus and rapid-transit routes.

Conclusions

This map was included in the practicum's final report.
