This map was produced for a GIS class assignment to visualize land use in the Bronx. The goal was to visualize industrial sources that contribute to sewage outflows, and show overall land use.
From a set of city shapefiles, I calculated land use areas and graphed them in Excel. I then aggregated the number of industrial sources in each Combined Sewer Outflow (CSO) area into a choropleth map. Finally, I mapped land use as a color-coded thematic map.
