DC's cherry blossoms bloom every spring on the shores of the Tidal Basin, since they were presented to the U.S. government by Japan in 1912. Here, I sought to capture the detail of the blossoms framing the Jefferson Memorial in the background, while an ever-present police helicopter hovers overhead.
